For 75 years, Lodz University of Technology has maintained the tradition of engineering education. In 2016, the University was awarded, as the first technical university in Poland, the HR EXCELLENCE IN RESEARCH badge, which acknowledged the fact that the University adheres to the principles laid down in The European Charter for Researchers and The Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. The benefit of this badge is improved recognizability and perceived attractiveness of the University as a project partner in the European Research Area.
